The aquarium opened to the public in 2001. Visitor numbers have steadily increased since then. This has been achieved by a carefully considered approach to visitors and the product on offer. The aquarium shall continue to value each and every visitor, do all it can to add value and aim to exceed visitor expectations whilst encouraging return visits.
We shall always regard customer care as of paramount importance, encourage and consider customer feedback carefully and act on this feedback where appropriate. We have kept a Visitor Comments Book at the Reception since 2006 and have been delighted at the feedback our visitors have kindly provided. We are now on tripadvisor too for visitor convenience. Below is a taster of visitor comments.

Small from the outside but amazingly well presented on the inside to provide a fine collection of lovingly cared for living displays.

A favourite place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by, sheltered and dog friendly, with a sunny welcome from the staff.
