Opens on Ilfracombe Pier!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Beach Toy Library, located right outside the aquarium on Ilfracombe Pier!
This has been a wonderfully rewarding collaborative project, kindly supported and contributed to by North Devon National Landscape (AONB). A massive thank you to our brilliant partners—the National Trust, who coordinated the build alongside the DCC Employment & Skills Hub, and Earth Action.
What is the Beach Toy Library?
This fantastic new facility offers everyone the opportunity to borrow and share equipment to help you enjoy the pier and harbour beach to the fullest.
Whether you need gear for a day by the water or want to drop something off, here is what you need to know:
What’s Available: Crab lines, drop nets, buckets, spades, and more!
Reduce & Recycle: It is a fantastic win for the environment, helping to lessen single-use plastic waste and keeping perfectly good items out of the bin.
Community Spirit: It is all about being kind, sharing, and thoughtful towards fellow beachgoers and our local marine life.
Got Spare Toys? Please Donate!
Having a clear out? If you have any spare buckets, spades, or crab lines that are still in good condition, we would gladly accept your donations to keep the library stocked for everyone to enjoy.
